Dr. Jones - Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Rachel Jones is a Bloomington native who is thrilled with the opportunity to serve the needs of pets in her hometown. She did both her undergraduate and veterinary studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She has worked as a small animal general practitioner in St. Louis Park, St. Paul, and Minneapolis. She purchased Wolff Animal Hospital in February of 2018 and is excited to continue building on the long-standing success of such an historic veterinary facility.
She strives to create individual treatment plans for her patients that meet the needs of both pet and owner. She truly enjoys getting to know her clients and forming lasting relationships with them. Dr. Jones lives in South Minneapolis with her husband, Ryan (who is Wolff Animal Hospital’s Business Development Manager), their two young sons, two dogs, two cats, and a fish tank. During her time off Dr. Jones is learning to kayak, and enjoys biking around the MN Chain of Lakes, dock fishing with her oldest son, doing crossword puzzles, and reading.
Sabra Beam - Veterinary Technician
Sabra Beam grew up in North Branch, Minnesota and moved to Minneapolis 14 years ago where she studied at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Sabra has been working as a technician for 16 years and still loves every minute of it! She has also worked in research, wildlife medicine, and currently works as an Emergency/ICU technician as well.
Sabra lives in North Minneapolis with her two pitbulls, two cats, three snakes, a tortoise, and one very adventurous rat. She likes to spend her time going to breweries with friends, backpacking, playing volleyball, and running 5Ks with her Minneapolis Chubby Fitness group.
Kim Hollis - Certified Veterinary Technician
Kim grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois for most of her life. She moved up to Minnesota for vet tech school in August 2011. She earned her Associates in Applied Science for Veterinary Technician from Argosy University - Twin Cities in 2013. She has been a tech for close to five years and thoroughly enjoys every minute of it!
In her spare time, Kim enjoys reading, watching sports (especially hockey -- she's a big Chicago Blackhawks fan), football (Green Bay Packers) and baseball (Chicago White Sox), and biking in the summer. Although she currently has no pets to call her own, Kim sees herself with both a cat and dog later in life.
Beth Block - Certified Veterinary Technician
Beth grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota and is a proud graduate of Jefferson High School. Beth has a degree in Biology from Grinnell College (2000) as well as an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Argosy Univerisity (2001). As a Certified Veterinary Technician for 17 years, Beth has worked in public and private practices as well as at the University of Minnesota Animal Medical Center. Beth also spent several year teaching Veterinary Technology at Minnesota School of Business/Globe University. Beth likes to focus her time on client education and service. She love every minute of it!
Beth now resides in Plymouth with her husband Craig and their small zoo. They have one dog (Lydia), two cats (Gilbert and Sullivan), and a hedgehog (Robert T. Smythe). In her spare time Beth is an avid knitter. You will often see her wearing her hand-knit socks when she is working. Her other interests include hand-dyeing yarn, sewing, and reading. She is a pretty neat gal with an amazing sense of humor!
Laura Houlding - Receptionist
Laura is a native of South Minneapolis, and has more than eight years of experience in veterinary medicine. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in Criminal Justice at Metropolitan State University.
Laura is active! She teaches Spin classes, does Olympic weight lifting, and loves to run. When she's not busy putting all of us to shame, she takes care of her two dogs, Buffy and Lloyd.
Ryan Jones - Business Development Manager
Ryan Jones is also a Bloomington native, who grew up just blocks away from Wolff Animal Hospital on Penn Lake (Dr. Jones and Ryan were married there in 2005). Ryan attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities' Carlson School of Management, and began his career at Deloitte Consulting. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Anderson School at UCLA in 2011, and continued as a manager with Deloitte Consulting. However, he always wanted to help run a small business, and finally convinced Dr. Jones to take the leap with him. They are both so grateful to the legacy of Wolff Animal Hospital and hope to live up to -- and even raise -- the high standards it has set.
In addition to helping Dr. Jones raise their two boys and petting zoo, Ryan enjoys music (he plays the drums), the unbelievable luck he has in his friends, and spending time with family.
